I'm Still Alive Ahaha

Yeahh folks, just as the title of this entry says, It's been a while but I'm still doing things I just watched the film Rebel Without a Cause and I have to say I was really moved by the interpretation of James Dean as Jim Stark that's why I decided to make a drawing about it.

Probando Illustrator (Just Getting into Illustrator)

La semana pasada justamente descargué el programa Illustrator, (para aquellos que no lo saben un programa de creación de imágenes vectoriales) ya que me di cuenta que en realidad es muy útil a la hora de crear imágenes en las que no quieres que se noten los píxeles.

Last Week I just downloaded Illustrator, (for those who doesn't know what it is it's a program for vectorial images' creation)


A la hora de probar Illustrator, ayudado por unos cuantos videos de YouTube, pude intuir algunas funciones muy interesantes.

Helped by some YouTube videos I could intuit some interesting functions.

 

Personalmente creo que esté programa significó una gran ayuda en la búsqueda de un estilo más simple y de pocas líneas tal y como se aprecia en el dibujo de más arriba.

 

Personally I think that this program was a great help in the search of a more simple style with few lines, as it is shown on the upper image. 

Estrenando Tableta (Fooling Arond with New Tablet)

Hace como una semana ordené mi primera tableta gráfica (de las que usas para dibujar digitalmente).
Gracias a recomendaciones de aquí y allá decidí adquirirla y tratar de llevar mis dibujos a un nivel más digital.
Ahora, esto es un poco de lo que surgió al usarla:

"Just like a week ago I orderd my first graphic Tablet (the ones you use to draw digitally).
Thanks to some recommendations from there and there y decided to acquire it and try to take my drawings to more digital level.
Now, this is what I did discovering this "new" device"

 

Las dos imágenes anteriores realmente surgieron para poder acostumbrarme al uso de la tableta (No es lo mismo dibujar en papel que sobre un aparato electrónico)

"The two previous images really just came out while getting used to the Tablet (It is not the same to draw in paper as it is to draw over an electronic device)"

 

Está es la imagen que, supongo, demuestra un poco más de adaptación con el aparato.

Un dibujo totalmente inspirado al observar desayunar a mi hermana.

Algunos Sketches (Some Sketches)

Que puedo decir, el día de hoy hojeando unos cuantos libros de moda (cosa extraña para un chico no?) sentí la inspiración llegar. Producto de esta inspiración realicé algunos bocetos de ropa femenina, tema que siempre he encontrado fascinante.

"What can i say, today flicking through some fashion books (weird thing for a guy ja?) I felt inspiration coming. As a result of this inspiration i did some sketches of femenine clothes, topic I've always found interesting. 

El Vestido Anterior me pareció bonito y más que eso la composición y el aire que dan los globos es encantador. 

"The previous dress I found it to be cute and more than that, the composition, and the air that the ballons give it's simply lovely"

Del conjunto anterior lo que me gusta más son las botas. 

"From this outfit what I liked the most were the boots"

Tengo que decir que existe algo etéreo y artístico dentro de la moda femenina, algo melancólico que vale la pena dibujar.

Una Historia...

Hoy es de esos días en que la inspiración simplemente llega. 
Ayer en la noche ví justamente FROZEN y debo admitir que quedé encantado con la animación presentada, a mi parecer Disney lo ha logrado de nuevo. Como sea, la cosa es que ver esa película animada me motivo a buscar un poco de su arte dentro de su fase de desarrollo, después de ver las imágenes arrojadas por el buscador del mismo google comencé a digerirlas, eso, mezclado con mis gustos peculiares, dio como resultado la siguiente historia, en realidad ni siquiera es una historia, es mas bien una idea, un concepto.

Last night I saw FROZEN and i got to admit I was charmed by it, undoubtedly Disney has done it again. Whatever the case may be, seeing that movie motivated me to look for a bit of it's artwork through the internet and then, having contemplated some of the images tossed by google I got this idea, this concept."

Como una historia de los años 20's de un tipo que al parecer está involucrado con la mafia.
Para los que se pregunten por la inclusión de animales, supongo que es un guiño hacia los cuentos de hadas, una manera de decir ¿porqué no? Además siento que eso le da un aire cómico dentro del tema de los gangsters. 

"Like a 20's story of a some sort of guy involved with the mafia. 
For the ones wondering about the animal characters I guess it's a gesture to fairytales, a way of saying: Why not? Besides I think that gives it a comical aspect inside of such a serious theme as the gangsters are"
